It's been quite a day, what started out as awful has turned into something wonderful. You know those days where nothing goes right and you wish you had just turned over and gone back to sleep? Well this morning was that for me, but luckily I had a day with my Mum planned, so I shrugged off the grey clouds that were threatening to consume me and threw myself into the day.
I am working on my next sewing project, which is rather exciting! I never thought I would enjoy spending an hour looking through pattern books ;-), but enjoy it I did! Oh and the fabrics! I'm becoming increasingly more knowledgeable about types of fabrics and what is best for which project, there is so much to learn!
I cut out my first actual pattern today, the last one didn't have pattern pieces so this was something new. I'm learning what all the little codes on the paper mean, it's like a whole 'nother language! The day just flew by and I finished the day feeling much better than when I started.
Then I had some wonderful news tonight, that a very talented friend has finally launched her Facebook Fan Page. I am so very happy for her, this has been a long time coming and she deserves every bit of success that is sure to come her way.

My day was brightened when after a yucky morning with Miss 8, Miss 5 showered me with love and kisses proclaiming me to be "the best mummy in the world" and hey, if she thinks that then I'm a happy girl. xxxxx
